River Alive! has received the Excellence in Exhibition Award for Special Achievement – Interactivity in the American Alliance of Museums' 32nd annual Excellence in Exhibition Competition (2020).

Re-envision an established maritime history museum as a center of education, activism, and outreach about regional water issues

Plan and design an exhibition about the Delaware River watershed that builds empathy and connection between people and this watery world on which millions rely. Together with project lead and creative director Habithèque Inc. and content developer Handymakes, we imagined and designed an immersive blend of hands-on challenges, interactive media, live exhibits, theater, citizen science, and programming spaces. These experiences make River Alive! a place of collaboration and conversation about the importance of the watershed, the science we use to understand and protect it, and the power we all have to help it thrive.
