Hands On! Studio mixes practical experience with an imaginative creative process to help clients build the foundations of successful, sustainable institutions.

From experience designing and managing our own museum, and a further three decades of exhibition design, we have amassed a wealth of experience in visioning, business strategy, budgeting, architectural space planning, operations, capital campaigns, marketing, education, and programming. We apply this knowledge by working with clients to create formative plans that define, or refine, a project’s vision, mission, and goals, and set a clear roadmap for realizing that vision in an operationally sustainable way. We include key stakeholders throughout the planning process to make sure your project has broad buy-in from the people who will support it from start to finish.

Whether you are just getting started, or re-thinking your future, our planning process builds clear goals, and the positive momentum to achieve them.
“Our partnership with Hands On! allowed for an advancement plan to take shape that is powerfully connected to staff, stakeholders, community assets, institutional legacy, and organizational aspiration. The most wonderful thing is that we are not sitting in admiration of a plan provided to us by consultants. We are living a plan we authored and we are committed to. It’s our plan, and we got to where we are thanks to key moments of clarity, creativity, and critical insight provided by the team at Hands On!.”
